CALIFORNIA CLOSE TO BANNING PETSHOP SALES OF NON-RESCUE DOGS, CATS & RABBITS

Another beautiful example of a change that can make a whole lot of difference.

It’s well-known, I think and hope, that puppy-mills aren’t a humane way of bringing animals into this world. The mother animals continuously go from pregnancy to pregnancy without enough time to recuperate. It isn’t a healthy environment for neither the mama animals nor the babies as they’re usually living in dire situations.

With this new law businesses selling animals need to show proof of where the animal came from. When they do sell a dog without papers and the adequate vaccines and checkups they’ll get a $500 fine.

No more new puppy-mills. Yes to adopting dogs and cats and rabbits that deserve a good
home.
